Custom bot development
Fully bespoke bots built to your spec - economy systems, ticketing, onboarding flows, games, AI assistants. If Discord's API can do it, we've probably shipped it.
Custom Discord infrastructure
CordIQ designs and builds custom Discord bots for communities and companies that outgrew off-the-shelf tools. Engineered, not assembled.
The studio
We spent four years shipping custom bots as top-rated freelancers. CordIQ is that same craft - with full ownership of the relationship, the roadmap and the quality bar.
Services
Fully bespoke bots built to your spec - economy systems, ticketing, onboarding flows, games, AI assistants. If Discord's API can do it, we've probably shipped it.
Auto-mod tuned to your community's culture - raid protection, escalation flows and audit trails your team can trust.
Stripe, Shopify, CRMs, game servers, internal APIs - your bot becomes the bridge between Discord and the rest of your stack.
Web control panels for your staff - configure the bot, watch the numbers, export reports. No more editing config files.
We get the bot live on infrastructure you own - server setup, environment config, secrets and deploy - then hand you the keys and the documentation.
Inherited a bot from a developer who vanished? We audit it, stabilise it and move it onto infrastructure you own - without losing your data.
If it lives on Discord, we can probably build it. Tell us the idea.
Start a projectHow it works
You know exactly what you're getting, what it costs and when it lands - before any money moves.
A free 30-minute call in your server or ours. We scope the idea and tell you honestly if we're the right fit.
A written spec with features, milestones, timeline and one fixed price. No hourly surprises.
A staging bot goes into your server on day one. You watch it grow and give feedback every week.
We deploy, hand over the repo, write the docs and train your staff on the dashboard.
A bug-fix window after launch, and new features quoted whenever you're ready to grow.
Payment is split across milestones - never all up front. You approve each stage before the next one starts, and the code lands in a repo you own from the very first commit.
Selected work
Names withheld where clients asked. We only quote numbers a client has given us - everywhere else we show the build itself.
The problemOff-the-shelf bots are configured one server at a time, and none of them verify Epic Games accounts or run scrims. Serving a whole set of competitive communities meant a platform, not another bot.
What we builtA multi-tenant Discord bot with its own website, documentation and dashboard - ten configurable modules, and Whop-powered subscriptions that unlock premium features per server rather than per account.
Forty-plus projects delivered since 2022 - this is the first written up in full, with more on the way. Ask us about work like yours and we'll walk you through something comparable.
Off-the-shelf bots are configured one server at a time, and none of them verify Epic Games accounts or run scrims. Serving a whole set of competitive Fortnite communities meant building a platform, not another bot.
A multi-tenant Discord bot with its own marketing site, documentation and dashboard. Ten modules - security and moderation, roles and onboarding, tickets, scrims and Epic account verification, stream alerts, voice and music, scheduling, staff access - each configurable per server from one interface. Whop handles checkout, and premium features unlock against the individual server rather than the buyer's account.
A server owner signs in with Discord, invites the bot, picks the server and configures it themselves. Upgrades activate automatically once Whop confirms payment, so adding a community is an invite rather than a deployment - and three tiers are sold from a single codebase.
Figures describe what the platform ships with. This client has not shared usage numbers, so none are claimed.
Client words
Lux delivered and went above and beyond my expectations. Very nice guy and communicated thoroughly!
Search for solutions and suggest it, exceptional in writing clean codes, doesn't say no to small changes when there is gap in the business, helped with the setup in hosting server and the most important part the project outcome is better than what i expected
Hire him. Another great job. I had a lot of things to change and well he changed them. He's someone who will listen and adjust accordingly. The edits also came very quick.
work took shorter than expected, did everything i wanted and walked me through how he was going to do it. quick and easy, would recommend for anyone looking for a talented professional to help with making bots.
had the pleasure of working with to create a custom Discord bot, and the entire process was seamless from start to finish. He demonstrated incredible technical expertise, quickly understanding my requirements and even suggesting features I hadn't considered! Highly recommended
Damn this guy knows what he's doing i was kinda scared that he would deliver some ChatGPT bs but damn this bot is perfect, he was super friendly and really understanding if what i wanted i would definitely recommend this. Looking forward to working with them again.
I made a lot of requests after each time it was made. Lux was willing to change things around so much - because I was adding features left and right. They have a strong work ethic and desire to complete the project. Used the services 3 times and will continue too.

Pricing
One number, agreed before we write a line of code. These are honest starting points - the discovery call turns them into your real quote.
In every project
One focused job, done properly.
$650starting
Several systems in one bot, plus a dashboard your staff actually use.
$1,900starting
Multi-server platforms, unusual scale, or something nobody has built yet.
Let's talk
Prices in USD. Not sure which one you're in? Describe what you need and we'll tell you - even if the answer is that you don't need us.
One job, or several systems that all have to agree with each other.
A bot that forgets is cheap. Real data means schema design, migrations and backups.
Discord-only is simplest. A dashboard your staff log into is a second product.
Every outside service brings its own auth, rate limits and ways of failing.
Optional add-on
Discord retires old API versions, and the bot libraries ship breaking changes underneath you. An unmaintained bot keeps working right up until the day it quietly doesn't. If you'd rather that never became your problem, keep us on.
$95/mo per bot
We keep it running. You forget it exists.
$275/mo per bot
Upkeep, plus room to keep changing it.
Still not hosting. Your bot stays on your own infrastructure and you pay your provider direct - this is our time, not a server bill. Cover starts when your bug-fix window ends, so you never pay twice for the same thing. Pay yearly and two months are free. Cancel whenever you like, and the bot is still yours. Ask us about it.
Who you're hiring
No account managers, no outsourcing, no handoffs. The people who scope your bot are the people who write it and the people who answer when something breaks.
FAQ
Still stuck on something? Ask us in the server - we answer in hours, not days.
Split across milestones, never all up front. After the discovery call you get a written quote with one fixed price and a list of stages. A deposit starts the work; the rest is paid as each stage is approved.
We're not a marketplace, so there's no escrow holding the money. What replaces it: the code lands in a repository you own from the first commit, so you always hold what you've paid for, and you see working progress every week instead of waiting for one big reveal.
Yes - completely. Full intellectual property transfers to you on final payment. You get the repository, the commit history, the documentation and the deployment config.
We keep no license, no kill switch and no hidden dependency on us. If you want to take it to another developer tomorrow, nothing stops you.
A focused single-purpose bot is typically 7-10 days. A multi-system bot with a dashboard usually runs 3-5 weeks. Rescue and migration work depends on what we find in the audit.
You get a date in the written quote before work starts, and weekly demos so you're never guessing.
You do - and that's deliberate. We build the bot and deploy it onto infrastructure you own: your VPS, your Railway or Hetzner account, whichever you prefer. We handle the server setup, environment config and first deploy, then hand over the keys and the documentation.
Why that's better for you: no hosting bill from us, no dependency on us still being around, and if you ever hand the project to another developer everything is already in your name. Hosting a Discord bot typically runs $5-15/month, paid straight to your provider.
No provider yet? We'll recommend one and set it up with you during launch.
Every project includes a bug-fix window - 30 days on Starter, 90 days on Growth, agreed per project on Custom. If something we built doesn't behave the way the spec described, we fix it at no cost.
After that you choose. Leave it: nothing renews, nothing bills, and new work is quoted whenever you're ready. Or put it on a care plan from $95/month and we handle the patches, the Discord API migrations and the bug fixes for you. Either way the bot stays on your infrastructure and stays yours.
Unlimited within the agreed scope. If a feature doesn't work the way the spec described, we fix it - that's not a revision, that's the job.
Genuinely new features outside the spec get quoted separately, so you always know what's included before you approve a milestone.
Mostly discord.js (Node/TypeScript) or discord.py, chosen for what fits the project and what your team can maintain. Data sits in PostgreSQL or SQLite, with Redis when something needs caching or queues. Dashboards are usually Next.js.
We ship with Docker so the bot runs the same on your machine as on your server. If you already have a stack you want us to match, say so and we'll work in it.
Yes, and most developers skip this. Discord's Developer Policy requires every application to publish a privacy policy, and bots are pushed into mandatory verification once they pass roughly 75-100 servers - verification gets rejected without one.
We draft the privacy policy and terms alongside the bot, and walk your application through verification and privileged-intent approval when you get there.
Short version: it applies to you if your server has European members - and because you host the bot yourself, it stays simple.
GDPR is EU and UK privacy law. It covers any system handling personal data of people there, and on Discord "personal data" includes user IDs, usernames and message content. Most servers of any size have European members, so in practice it applies.
Since the bot runs on your infrastructure and we hand it over at launch, you are the data controller and the data never sits with a third party. That removes the messiest part of compliance before it starts.
What we do about it: the bot is designed to store the least it needs, prefers user IDs over message content, and we document exactly what's kept and for how long - so the privacy policy we draft with you is accurate rather than boilerplate. This is general information, not legal advice; if you're running a business with a lot of EU members, have a lawyer review it.
Fair question - it's exactly the situation our rescue service exists to clean up, so we take it seriously.
Your code lives in your repository from the first commit, not ours. Credentials sit in your accounts and the bot runs on your infrastructure. Every project ships with written documentation and a runbook, so any competent Discord developer can pick it up cold.
